I’m a private room for a solo guest, I have one single bed. My private bathroom has a shower, a sink and a toilet. I am located on the ground floor across one of the oldest bars of Haarlem.
// Hello I’m Saskia Uylenburgh, the wife of the famous painter Rembrandt van Rijn. My father was a well renowned lawyer in the most northern province of The Netherlands: Friesland. During a family visit to Amsterdam I met Rembrandt. He was painting a portret of a family member. A year later we were married. You may have seen me in one of his paintings, I was his muse and modeled for him quite often. One of Rembrandts most famous paintings is the Nightwatch. Did you know that the owner of this hostel is also named Saskia? She is our very own muse and source of inspiration for Hello I’m Local.
